Motherhood is hit and miss. Most of the days, I know I miss the mark. But on rare (very rare)occasions, I hit the target.
This is what I found while cleaning up my 9-year old's folder:
("Who do you think is a leader of hope today? How is he/she a leader of hope?
I think my mom is a leader of hope. She takes me to church. She tries to teach my
dad the Bible. She relieves my problems most
of the time and will relieve my problems.
She's always there for me. She is (love the double underlining here) a leader
of hope.")
Now I don't know what kind of grade he received from this hastily scribbled paragraph. But he got an A+++++++ in my book. :)

Great job, Mom! You will hear no greater flattery than that from your children!
I've missed you! So glad you're back...
He gets an "A" in my grade book too!
And so do you.
Sweet dreams.

Don't moments like that just melt a heart.
Hope you are still happy busy,
have a beautiful Palm Sunday
This is the sweetest thing! Hang onto that and reread it during his teen years!
Come on over for some mom inspiration and encouragement.
Soak that in, and be blessed by it...
I would have been in a puddle of tears.
Were you?
AWESOME! I want to cry!!!
Awww, that was beautiful! We need those moments as moms. It keeps us going. That's a keeper!
How is your bible study going? I hope you're enjoying it and learning lots!
God Bless! Aine :)
When your child makes that kind of declaration about his mother without any prompting, girl you are hitting the bulls eye. You are doing the right things. Keep it up. Everything you do is influencing this child. God bless you richly.
Hey! Runner mom here! I remember your talking about the inductive Bible study. I took Precepts year before last and thought we would never make it through Isaiah!!! Mercy! We went slow, and it took a school yr and a half! I'm a little burned out on it, but it makes a lot of sense. I finally decided to highlight in my fav colors what spoke to my heart! I'm one of those who doesn't mind being a little different!
I am going to look into the Jon C. commentaries. And, I will pull up the website on the Koinia (spell?) class that you referenced. Thanks so much for all that you are doing with the Bible study! I just love it!
Hugs!
Susan
I enjoyed your blog.
